El Paso

This is me with the person who brought me to El Paso, my long-time friend Rosa. This was in July, 2004; about 10 years since we both graduated from Texas A&M.

This is Rosa outside the movie theater where we went to see "The Terminal". Not one of my favorites, but it was cute, and Tom Hanks was pretty good in it.

This is one of several shots taken from the Trans-Mountain Road.

The Trans-Mountain Road cuts through the Franklin Mountains in West Texas.

Here's another shot of the city taken from a rest stop along the road.

The Franklin Mountains are just miles away from Fort Bliss Military Reservation.

When we got up here, the sun was just starting to go down.

Even though it was the middle of July, it was much cooler up here.

Later, we went to a Church Bazaar, and enjoyed some great food!

Then we went to a comedy club. It was pretty funny, although parts of it went a little too far. But the drinks were really good! :-)

Then we went to a nightclub and saw a live band.

Not only was the lead singer really good, but she was very attractive! (This was before I met my wife, of course! :-)

I later thanked Rosa for showing me such a great time in El Paso.

I haven't seen her since then, but we still keep in touch.

Even though she couldn't make it to my wedding, I hope to see her again someday.
